Appointments

We have an appointments system – appointments are for 10 minutes – If you have more than one problem you may feel you need to ask for a double appointment. Urgent and non-urgent appointments may be arranged by telephone or in person.

Non urgent medical advice

For any non urgent medical advice you could telephone 111 this service is available 24/7

Test Results

Please telephone between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday - Friday for results of tests requested by your doctor. The doctor or nurse will advise you when a result should be available and the receptionist will pass the doctor’s comments on to you.

Cancelling your Appointment

If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or call to let us know. 

Did not attend their GP or Nurse appointments

In the month of October 42 patients failed to attend their appointment with their doctor and 72 patient did not attend their booked appointment with the practice nurse.  Please make sure you telephone the surgery if you are unable to make your appointment, these could have been used by someone else.

clockWHEN THE SURGERY IS CLOSED

Before calling the emergency Doctor think about how you feel i.e.

  • Can you wait until the surgery opens again in the morning?
  • Do you need advice or reassurance sooner?
  • Could a Dentist, Pharmacist, District Nurse or Midwife help with your problem?
  • Could the information in the back of this booklet be of help to you?

If you do need to contact the practice outside of surgery hours call the usual surgery number and you will hear instructions on how to contact the out of hours service.  If you prefer to contact the local Out Of Hours service direct, please ring:

CASUALTIES AND MINOR INJURIES

If possible, please report to the Minor Injuries Clinic at the Surgery any time between 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday where we have facilities to treat you. A qualified Nurse is available to see you and a Doctor will be called to see you when the Nurse considers it to be appropriate.  Outside of these times patients should report to Casualty at James Paget Hospital in Gorleston.
